Ruth took up the post of Clinical Research Fellow in August 2013. She came to the post from psychiatry training in the West of Scotland, having practiced medicine in the area since graduating in 2009.  Her research concerns the ascertainment of dementia cases within well-described longitudinal ageing cohorts - the Lothian Birth Cohorts of 1921 & 1936. The primary aim of her research will be to consider health outcomes and identify any predictive factors for dementia.
